I feel like we need a server...

This has been an idea mulling around in my head for a WHILE... I think that we could make a GMod server in Sandbox mode and make poses and stuff together! Not only could we critique our work on the fly, but we could also collaborate and maybe even get to know one another a bit more. I mean, what's the point of having a Steam group if we're not gonna play any games together? Gimme your thoughts and opinions on this. I genuinely think this could set the stage for us to make really good content.

Running game servers costs money and time to operate and manage, and in this case, I don't think you'd gain much from having this server. Working locally is faster for most people. Servers tend to have shit performance (especially gmod servers) and it puts extra stress on your internet connection. It also invites griefing and 'photobombing', something I wouldn't want in my sex poses. Even if you setup a trusted user or ban system for that, I still doubt that it would see much use. It's already limited to Gmod users, so that's potentially only half of the people who use this site. If you want to collaborate with someone from the forums, you could also just connect to them using Hamachi and start a LAN game. I'd advise against it, but if you have money to burn go right ahead and setup a server. ;)

Yeah and in my own personal experience, it lags like hell when you have someone from say the States posing with someone from Aus.

I second this.
