But, two things: 1) I feel like I've been finding your models for years around the intertubes, and they're awesome, so wanted to say thanks. 2) I wanted to see how you feel about me porting parts of your script? I wrote (and sometimes update) a blender 2.5+ import script for XNA/XPS. It's in desperate need of updating for XPS. I'd like to use your script as reference for updating mine, but wanted to make sure you were okay with me doing that. Thanks!
theres been alot of XPS models lately... which is a deviant of xnalara. I've added scanning features to my original xnalara import script. however need people to test it http://pastebin.com/0fvCYKwX

"Ba4ka" said ...For me SFM requires less work. Mind you, the process is mostly the same due to both programs using the Source engine. But if I were to port a model to Gmod, I'd have to make a ragdoll/physics model in addition to all the stuff I need to do to get it working in SFM. It's a little extra work for a feature I'm probably never going to use or support. They might work in Garry's mod without the physics model, but honestly I can't be arsed to check. Some modelers will go that extra mile to make a perfect model, but I only make what I need. The reason why most of these models come from Garry's mod is due to Source Filmmaker being a rather new program. Over the years, a lot of people have gotten used to creating models for, or posing in Garry's mod. It has been a breeding ground for user created content since 2006. You're surprised it has such a back catalogue of models?
I've been wondering this for a while now, how hard is it to port to SFM compared to Gmod? It's rare to find SFM exclusive models, most come form the Gmod scene, surely i can't be the only one who has given up Gmod in favor for SFM for animation and posing.
"Ba4ka" said ...Models for Gmod and SFM are mostly interchangeable, so there's no real chance of that happening.
The worst scenario would be crippled models because it had to comply to the Gmod standard, models with a lot of bones comes to mind.
