It looks too mechanic, some models looks a bit.. dead :P But it's not that bad for a beginner. Camera angle and lighting are great. Seems you are missing a rig for Edi? http://a.pomf.se/2Rx7.py (right click > save as) I got no other advice than to keep on working and having fun!

Using a rig saves you tons of time and pain. If a model doesn't have a rig it sucks out all the fun for me. The part of the models looking a bit dead is the facial expressions and movements. Like your earlier gifs, shephard lying there with no movement, blank stare, same for vega. Immersion is all about the tiny realistic details. Think of physics as well. If you slap your hip against a girls ass she will bump forward, hip and buttcheeks will bump forward a bit more. The force from your hip will move through her spine and make her head whip back/forward. 70% of my time working on an animation is playing the movements over and over to see what it needs to look more realistic. It also helps to continue on the animation after some sleep to get a fresh perspective. I'm not ranting, I just want to see more skilled animators, best to share knowledge from the start! :D
I just loaded up the old save for Edi and Shepard and loaded the rig and I know what you mean now. It seems to keep everything 'where it should be' and thanks for the advice. I am starting to get better now and hopefully, using rigs and putting in some more time, they will be much better :D

Awesome, thanks man. I don't actually know how to use the rigs properly but I do know what they do so I'll have to look into using them. And I guess that the "models look a bit dead" is because I'm not using the rigs, idk

I know there are common angles and poses.. But this felt too similar. Just wanted to know if you knew of my animation I did quite some time ago. http://rule34.paheal.net/post/view/1171 ... d%3D122362 http://rule34.paheal.net/post/view/1187 ... d%3D127803
I haven't missed a single one. Just can't get into anims of her in the second GIF (can't remember her name) - although, it's still a great piece of work. :) Far beyond my level. I think she's too pale, or something. Looks half dead.

I did originally do that GIF from the POV and then had the idea of alternate angles. I tried a lot of different angles, (for example, over the shoulder, camera by chest, etc. Anywhere on the body really) but I guess I did finally settle on that one. And the answer is no, I didn't know you had done that GIF because yours is WAY better. (obv)

Decided to make a short film using Samara & Commander Shepard. It's not the best, there are a few errors that couldn't be fixed properly. You can download the 720p version here [naughtymachinim2:1m389iis]8196[/naughtymachinim2:1m389iis]
