Need some help animating hips in SFM

I've just picked up SFM and started animating, but I can't figure out how to animate the hips. Whenever I move the pelvis bone, the entire model moves/rotates. Because of this, I can't make a humping animation, unless I go back and reset all of the bones, except the pelvis, back to their original positions. I figured that there has to be an easier way to do this, but I couldn't find anything in the tutorial section talking about it. Could anyone help me out?

From what little I know about it, that problem can be fixed by applying an IK rig, which prevents them from snapping back to the 'default' pose. The majority of quality nude models have their own rigs, and if need be, you can make your own, although it was a bit confusing for my muddle-headed self.

Hmm, I'll see if that helps. I haven't been able to get any rigs packed with the models to really work though. Every time I go to load one, nothing happens. I'll look into it some more though.

That is showing how you would interact with the waist, not the hips though.

I know this is a late reply, but if you're still having trouble with this, or if someone else looks up this thread, here are my two cents. The solution is surprisingly simple. Select the first bone above the pelvis and lock JUST the rotation of the bone. Then do the same with both of the thigh bones. You will then be able to rotate the pelvis without spinning the whole model.
