Chell fix?

Sorry for bringing it up again, but I suppose when I brought it up 1st time, it wasn't the best place to do. I hope this is the correct place, though. So, the issue is, is that Chell's bangs dissapear when you shine a lamp(or a flashlight). Pictured here: Light off: Light on: I'm requesting this, because, well, Chell deserves to be fully functional, being one of Valve girls(and one of my favs), however, I have zero knowledge in this, so I ask for fix here.

I don´know, i guess this requesz would have fitted better in the nude models section. However, this is something you can easily fix yourselves. You need either vtfedit or noepad++. Then you go to chell´s materials folder: addons\Chell Nude\materials\Evil-Ash\chell_nude and open the file chell_hair.vmt Then you replace the command $translucent 1 with $alphatest 1 This will make the transparency less good lookinga nd more edgy, but it prevents the hair from disappearing when a lamp shines on it. You can use this command for all transparent textures you have the same problem with.

Thank you! As I said earlier, I have zero knowledge, so I needed input. Still, it does looks kind of blocky now, wish both the features were there...

You can have both features, by copying the hair mesh and applying different materials to it. I did this with Mila, but it requires decompiling, recompiling and modeling stuff. The bes thing would juat be, if $translucent would resist lamps.

Yeah, but I have no knowledge in those fields, though. Anyway, thanks again for the fix.
