how to make face flexes in blender for sfm?

does anyone have any tutorials on creating facial flexes in blender for models in sfm? i know it has something to do with shapekeys and vtas, but thats about as much as i know.

You create shapekeys in Blender and model the shapekeys so that they represent different facial expressions. You can find many tutorials on how to create shapekeys on Youtube, so that shouldn't be the issue. When you export your model from Blender, the valve model plugins should detect that your model has shapekeys and ask to export the VTA as well as the SMD. If you export as DMX, the flexes will be combined into the DMX file instead of a seperate VTA file. Next step is to setup your QC file. Details on how to do that and much more can be found here.
