Looping Particle effects

Does anybody know if there is a way to loop particle effects in SFM? I have been trying for the longest time to get cigarette smoke to loop in a fashion that at least looks semi feasible but it just wont work. I have tried to edit some of the values in the element viewer for the particles but to no luck. Am I just missing some kind of value or section that causes it to loop or am I just missing some kind of trick to get it to work if it is possible?

I don't think its possible for particles that try to simulate realistic things like smoke or flames will loop because by their nature they're meant to be random.

I figured this was the case, but you can do A LOT of editing of particles in the editor. I'm not sure if anybody has messed around with it more than I have but you can add a fuckload of modifiers to particles to change what they do. I tried to see if you could have the start and end point move on a control point but I could never get it to work.
