[Garry's Mod] Jigglebones on Ragdolls and NPCs

Not sure where to post this, but it's GMOD relevant. There was a point in time, I recall vividly, that jigglebones worked on dead npcs OR ragdolls. Is that not supported anymore with the current Gmod 13? If so, why would they dumb their own game down? I ask because ragdolls are much easier to raw-record with other than T-posed animate-ready models. (for me at least). I've looked a lot of places for answers, but can't find a real one. In google, I found one of plasmid's responses saying: "The jiggle bones can't have physics models". * Shrug for me *

It's not a matter of "dumbing their game down", it's a matter of Garry accidentally breaking the feature and not wanting to put in the effort to fix it. Garry's Mod is poorly supported by the guy who made it. Stuff breaks constantly with each update.

Is there a possibility that "they" don't know about it? Also, is there another possibility that the community base could fix it or make it viable again with some separate game addition? It breaks my heart. :(

Yes, but I doubt it. They probably wouldn't fix it either because they're busy working on Rust.

Jigglebones are a Source engine feature. To fix it, you would need access to the Garry's Mod source code. Good luck getting that. You might be able to write some crude jigglebone simulation using a Lua script, but it would probably be terrible.

During the development of the current incarnation of Garry's Mod, I pleaded with Garry to fix the jigglebones, but he really didn't care, or make any effort at all. Honestly, I don't know why he even bothered with this last big update since he doesn't give a damn about the community. Like I said before, I am very thankful that SFM came out at the same time as the new Gmod.
