Nude Borderlands / 2 Girls (CURRENT: BL1 Crew; Update 10)

Right, so I've got less than 15 minutes before I have class, so I will make this brief. I have decided to start building nude models of the Borderlands / Borderlands 2 girls. I decided to do Borderlands 2 Lilith first, because I already had ported her once, meaning I had all the source files and, more importantly, the flexes and materials. This is a very early WIP. How early? So early I forgot to smooth her fingers. As you can see, I have the form down. I have her matched proportionally to the canon Lilith model in more or less every proportion there is to match (upper body : lower body, thigh : calf, hips : shoulders) and have her breasts and ass within a 90% match. She's about as close, mesh-wise, as you can get. However, textures are a different issue. I am not a texture artist, nor do I ever claim to be. As such, someone else will have to do her tattoos. If you are interested, or know someone who may be interested, please message me / have them message me, and we can discuss this. Lilith just isn't Lilith without her tattoos. I will get another WIP shot up soon (within 3 hours hopefully) showing off how similar her frame is to the canon Lilith. Please feel free to critique the model or to throw out suggestions, as well as answer these two question: 1.) Should I make all the girls nude first, or give Lilith some bodygroupable clothes before I move onto the next girl? 2.) What girls should I do, and in what order? Post them in the order you think I should do them. Note that I will not do Maya, because GreyGeist is working on her and I need to stop neglecting him and rig her up for him. LILITH TODO LIST: - Smooth body (really easy) - Fix rigging (shoulders, hands, and feet) - Add breast, ass, and hair jigglebones - Fix neck texture (the back of her neck is pure black; not shown here) - Fix flexes (some flexes like her smile flexes are really bad) - Add tattoos (need someone else to do that) I will probably release a public beta of her once the first three bullet points are done, because the last two (especially the very last one) will take a while and be largely out of my control.

Do you not know the concept of push-up? With a shirt as tight-fitting as Lilith wears, it's pretty obvious she uses it for support, pushing her breasts up and together. Remove the tight-fitting clothes and let gravity take over, and their tendency will be to separate from each other and hang individually. If she had larger breasts, then their centers of gravity would pull them together and they'd droop together, but with the size she has canonly, they'd more or less just kinda chill out by themselves. This is, of course, assuming that Lilith is natural and not pumped full of silicone, and that she has full and perky breasts. If people (RE: not just you) want me to modify her breasts, then I'll do that. I personally feel that the current structure is well within the bounds of reality, though. And for future reference, if you could be less hostile with your criticisms, it would be appreciated. The "fucking disgusting" face is not in the least bit helpful, and is overwhelmingly negative. Posts like your second post are far more neutral and far more constructive, and actually give me something to work on other than "the boobs are disgusting." I can't do much with "the boobs are disgusting."

Hi Aardie, Always a fan of your work and your attention to detail. Suits my OCD. The only thing I would add, as I agree with your thoughts on proportions/scale, is the underside of her breasts slope to her chest, rather than tucking under, or curving around a little so there's a more defined crease to give her a little hang or pointy/perky look. This, I feel would look more natural, especially if they're intended to jiggle. Like the post above this one from MissSonic. Great illustration. It's a great start. And I'm confident the finished article will be meticulously put together. Your other models, which I use regularly, being great examples of this. If I ever get into modelling, I would hold myself to the same standards. I am biased, as she's my favourite, but I would do Moxxi next, then Gaige. It may be beneficial to release a beta/prerelease of one, and work on the other to allow for feedback and give time for animators to play and find bugs, allow you to come back with fresh eyes on her, see how she matches up to other models in scenes (against who she's partnered with, etc.). I often do this with the software/websites I put together. Release it with basic expectations/spec fulfilled, and add bells and whistles later. I see Tannis, Maya and Angel are already WIP on DE. It's all looking good for BL fans. I'm loving the Borderlands focus these days. It's something I've really missed having.

The Tannis and Angel WIPs are, so far as I can tell, more half-clothed than anything else. While that is great (and I personally prefer it to fully nude), I intend to build fully-nude bodies, and then builds the clothes backwards (EG take them off, then put them back on). As to beta releases, I was in the process of putting this together as I started typing this out. There's been a lot of work done, mostly on the back-end. UPDATES: - Added slight droop to her breasts - Fully jiggleboned breasts and ass - Rerigged shoulders, arms, feet, and toes - Rotated legs so that she spawns in a standing position, rather than spread-eagle - Rotated feet so that the bones now point in the same direction as her actual feet, rather than off into arbitrary angles as is default with this body - "Fixed" the back of her neck being a black void (the UV has it as an absolutely tiny patch in her texture. I just shoved some color back there. It doesn't match perfectly. I will probably end up re-UVing it [somehow] to make it look better) - Recolored her teeth and tongue to look less like she has rotting teeth - Slightly rerigged hands And here is the beta release. This is in no way a final release, and as such does not belong in the Model Releases section. Note that everything is very WIP about her - if you find any issues or things you'd like looked into for changing, please feel free to point them out (constructively! Don't just say what's wrong, but suggest ways to fix it!) DOWNLOAD V0.1.0 The rig included (rig_biped_skyrim_pure) is the rig she uses. While you guys play with the model, I am going to make a few more WIP renders, showing off her jigglies and just her body in general. Suggestions: Make hair poseable, possibly jiggly-boned aswell. I don't really know how to explain it, but her face textures have black detail stripes, something along lines of looking like she was drawn, same details could be on nude body textures.

The cartoony / artsy style of Borderlands is far beyond my scope to recreate.

Thats a really nice Lilith, LordAardvark. One of the things I love from Lilith is her pale skin, and that texture fits her perfectly. And she already has a lot of features! I'm downloading her right now, its nice to see more Borderlands girls. As for Angel and Patricia Tannis, you are right, I'm actually not planning on doing them fully nude, just bodygroups for some clothes. I took them as a hobby and I'm sure they will take their time to be finished or at least for a decent wip release.

Me and comvex finished a mesh for Maya, and I made some basic textures. Aardvark is taking over the rigging as of today, AFAIK. So, I think that's what'll come next. I'll work on Moxxi if I get some free time. Got a good idea for a body base I could consider headhacking? Or should I just make a new mesh like me and comvex did for Maya.

Someone mentioned questioning the paleness of her skin. Do you think you can provide a shot of her exposed only to pure white lights, when you decide to share your next update on her? I'm not going to presume you've changed the paleness of her skin, and instead assume you simply used color lights - the paleness of her skin makes her particularly receptive to color bleed. In other news, I hope to have the preliminaries of the next project posted in a few hours. I do have time dedicated to other things today, though, so I may not be able to get as much work as I am hoping done.

Right, so I've got a picture to share for the new update. The next girl I have elected to declothe is everyone's favorite psychopathic anarchist, Gaige! She's 18 in the US canon release, and that's what I am going with, so her petite frame is totally legal for the ladies and gentlemen of Pandora to fuck silly! However, I have elected to work on Gaige in a sort of round-about fashion (as seen above), due to the fact there is no (high-quality) port of her available to us. In addition to this, due to Gaige's biomechanical condition, a bit more work is going to be involved with her. As such, this is going to be Gaige's workflow. 1.) Build Gaige's full flex suite (done) 2.) Port clothed Gaige (done) 3.) Jigglebone Gaige's hair 4.) Make the nude Gaige that has both her arms 5.) Fully jigglebone said nude Gaige, and complete all the mesh-work for said nude Gaige 6.) Fully rig Gaige's mechanical arm (for some reason, only the first digit of each finger is rigged) 7.) Create a subversion of that nude Gaige with the robot arm 8.) Fully jigglebone the clothed Gaige 9.) Create a subversion of the clothed Gaige with two human arms 10.) Release canon clothed Gaige, two-arm clothed Gaige, mechanical-arm nude Gaige, and two-arm nude Gaige. As such, she will have two major beta releases: both-arms, and robot-arm nude. I have scaled her canonly to Lilith, which means that Gaige stands at that perfect height to bury her face in Lilith's cute perky breasts. I expect someone to make a picture of such an act shortly after release. I haven't even started either nude mesh, but that is the plan of attack. I will keep you guys posted. Yes, that was my bad, I used a setup I had from another picture and forgot it had red colored lights. The skin hue was only changed very slightly. I'm going to work on it some more this weekend. Planning on adding tattoos to her leg, putting the lines on her hands, and maybe stylize the skin a bit more. Also there were a few odd errors I noticed, like the circular tattoo on her chest got warped.

Because no one has ever bothered to tell me how to make proper stereo flexes / HWM, and the Valve tutorial on stereo flexes is incorrect and instead tells how to make flexpairs, which is what I already use. Vaurra, feel free to take your time, mate. Can't rush perfection, and even with the issues you've found with her, she's already damn near perfect. :D.

Give her some proper nipples, the rim lighting on the right boob looks like her nipple is flat, make her ankles thinner and slim her calf muscles but tone them a little bit so as to give them more shape. Although I have to say one main thing that's bugging me about her actually is the fact that her heard doesn't actually look like it's supposed to be on that body.

Yeah there's a disparity between the head and body. Probably because her head is very busy (goggles, bandaid, earrings, two-tails). But also that hard-edge art style of Borderlands is evident with her hair and items on her head. Adding some hard lines on her collarbone, knees, fingernails, and certain other areas could help with that, or on the flip side thinning out the hard edges on her hair, goggles, etc, to match the body. I think Lilith's body looks pretty good in that style, but I'm not sure how she would look with other, non-Borderlands models.

Thanks for the feedback, guys. Unfortunately, I don't know how to work with most of what you're giving me. As in, I don't understand what you're saying or I can't figure a way to translate it to actual mesh work. All the things about hard edges and such can be done in large part by texture. Look at the Lilith I posted compared to the one Vaurra posted, and just notice how much a difference the texture makes. I can't really make any executive calls on such things until I have a similarly worked texture for her - then I can adjust the mesh to complement the texture as needed. As to the nipples thing, she has nipples. This was taken before the mesh was smoothed, so it didn't render correctly. Regarding clothing, I have intentions to try and reverse-construct their clothing as bodygrouped segments. So far the only actual modification I've gotten out of all of this is to slim her calves and ankles. Nothing else you guys have given me really tells me anything. "Head doesn't feel like it belongs on body" doesn't tell me how to fix that, and "head is very busy while body is not" doesn't give me anything to work with either. Keep on with the feedback, though, guys. Gonna take me a while before I can work her again - I've got electric fields to read about for classes right now!

You've stated multiple times that you don't do textures, so my suggestion was aimed at Vaurra or any other corresponding artists. My point about her busy head was that there's literally a lot of stuff on it. She strips nude but doesn't take off her goggles? Removing/bodygrouping the eyewear, her bandaid, and earring would possibly help blend the head with the body a lot better, albeit with difficulty. And again, that's more of a texture thing.

I'll PM you the file. It is a PSD with everything one a separate layer (Graphic design is my job so I'm used to working with a lot of backups). Edit: I compared the original Lilith model to your nude one and tried to highlight the differences. I'd like to note beforehand that the current model you have is already pretty great, so you don't really have to fret over minor details. However if you want it to be closer then maybe these will help. I'm not an expert on modelling though! So the original model is in green. The arms are just a little too thick around the wrist and forearm. The legs are similarly too thick and a slightly different shape on the calf. Her waist has the right hourglass shape, but the original model is thinnest at a higher point than yours. And lastly the shoulders, yours are sloped downwards too much and the neck starts sooner and is longer.

Those are indeed very helpful images. I will, at some point before final release, definitely go through and see what I can do about minor sculpting corrections, using that image as reference. Though, I really need to put some brakes on Gaige and just finish up GreyGeist's Maya. I am feel really bad for neglecting his project (which I volunteered to assist with) in favor of my own. And of course, all of that is lower priority than classes and coursework. Which is what is absorbing my time for right now.

More progress on Gaige. Got her robot arm fully rigged, and transposed it over to the nude body. All that's left for this first round of hackery is to give her two fleshy arms on her clothed body. Getting her robot arm onto the nude body was tricky, because the upperarm/forearm lengths on the clothed and nude body weren't quite the same (consequence of using this body). I had to play with the robot arm scale a bit to get it to match the human arm, but I think it came out pretty good. I elected to make the transition from flesh to machine real simple and clean, since this model is designed with pornography in mind, and most people don't find stumps and inflamed flesh attractive. By "most people" I mean "me." I am hoping to be able to get the Gaige four-pack out before Monday, so if you guys see any glaring issues that I need to fix right meow, I would appreciate you pointing them out now, because elsewise, I'll continue with the first round of Borderlands girls. Once I have all the girls hacked together and in Source, I intend to go back and do fine-tuning things, such as toning the bodies to more closely match the originals. Right now, I just want to get their meshes assembled and out the gate and usable.

I had a feeling it'd be up to the shoulder, but there's not enough existing mesh to make it work. I'd have to get creative and make my own robotics, which I feel is a bit too much work for a shitty nude hack intended for porn. Regarding her legs, I have intentions to resculpt her body (and the other girls' bodies) after I have all of the girls ported, nuded, and released as beta. Regarding alternate hairs & heads, I also have plans (way down the line) of adding the alternate hairs / heads to the girls as well. For the non-playable characters like Tannis and Angel and such, I may end up just giving them hairs from the other characters. That's way down the line though, after all the bodies have been resculpted (meaning it'd be done on pass 3). Thanks for all the comments and feedback, guys! :D.

Because I'm notorious for losing interest in projects for one reason or another. Would you rather nine models that are 90% complete, or one model that's 100% complete? It's a simple case of logistics, if you ask me. Not to mention, each character's body is generated uniquely. I can't "carry changes over" from one body to another. While the bodies may look identical (sans scale) at a casual glance, they are not. The Caliente Body Tool provides a lot of finesse control, which I spend a fair amount of time adjusting (maybe 30 minutes) per character.

You're under no obligation to download the beta models. If you have a problem with it, feel free to do this model-work yourself. I think you should take a step back and remember that I'm doing this entirely for free, out of my own time, for my own interest, and am electing to share them at all out of my own choice. You have no entitlement to anything I do, and I have no obligation to do anything at all for you. I would appreciate it if you would come to this realization yourself, and promptly back off. By all means, feel free to provide constructive criticism, but your sense of entitlement to my project is, frankly, getting very grating. If you don't like the way I am doing things, then feel free to start your own project. By all means, I encourage it - the more variety we get going on, the better. I won't tell you how to approach your projects. Don't tell me how to approach mine. This isn't getting anything done. I am going to do my project in the way I say I am going to do it, and nothing you nor anyone else says will change the order of execution, unless I decide to do it of my own free will. If I say I have intentions to go back and fix the models, then that means I have intentions to fix the models. Whether or not the models get fixed one at a time or in batch makes no difference in the end result - either way, all the models get fixed.

Sarcasm and condescension. With just a hint of entitled dick. Also you missed his point. Having 10 models at 90% rather than 1 model at 100% isn't choosing quantity over quality. It's just efficient. It's also a worst-case scenario cuz he said he plans to make them 100% but if things don't go according to plan then at the very least you get a working model. Worst case in the other situation is that you get no model.

This is some pretty amazing progress you made so far. Understood both ain't done, but 2 models in such a short time is damn nice. Especially with both Gaige and Lillith. Great work LordAardvark. Can't wait to see what will happen further on.

Gaige is looking great! Got some more work done on the texture. All that's left is to fix a few seams and get the chest tattoo in the right position so it doesn't get deformed.

She's looking awesome, Vaurra! Speaking of Siren tats, GreyGeist has finally managed to be able to get me a working version of his nude Maya model. Which means that Maya is the next girl I'm going to work on. As always, the first thing to do is to port her canon, clothed version, and build faceposing, which I have done. Though I realized I forgot her lip lower/raiser flexes while I was making this poster... Going to need to build those real fast before I continue. The nude Maya Geist sent me is going to need a lot of work, but when she's done, she will have the most unique body of all the girls, because she isn't based off Caliente's bodies. As far as I know, the mesh is built entirely from scratch. Keep your eyes peeled for updates on this beautiful seemingly-part-Asian siren.

Pushed Maya down the list for now. I haven't looked at GreyGeist's armature for the fingers yet, though. I will after I finish this model, Commandant Steele. Commandant Steele is too busy being angry all the time to pose sexy. Still have some work to do with the clothed body. Namely, I need to give her upper/lower lip flexes (I forgot them again), and decide what the hell to do with her hair. Jiggleboning them would be a nightmare, but leaving them rigid and up to being posed manually isn't an ideal solution, either. I think I will leave her hair be for now, take off her clothes, and then once I've got the base work for her body done, go back and see what I can do about her hair. Also, Vaurra, it seems that Steele and Lilith have identical tattoos. Steele here has some tattoo showing in places Lilith does not, if you want to take that into account with your texture work for Lilith. Just a thought.

I made this before I jiggleboned her, which I am now starting to think may have been a mistake, because I would like to animate this, and I fear how much jiggleboning her will break the pose. The woman we knew as Commandant Steele wasn't always a Commandant in Atlas's army. Like the rest of us, there are decisions she has made in her life that she came to later regret. Her short career in pornography some years prior is one of them. I will get a more formal tease poster up soon. Then I will jigglebone her, test her out in an animation, and beta-release her. At that time, I will also push Lilith and Gaige onto the SFMLab. I am also going to pm Vaurra about interest in building up Steele's Siren tattoos. Her clothed model shows quite a bit more than what Lilith's did, and there are some elements missing from what Vaurra was able to build for Lilith.

Well, besides her Medusa-like flailing braids, it's a solid animation. The bloom is a little much but I like the light accentuating her body. Great tits and thighs, I can tell Steele will be my favorite BL babe :twisted:

Commandant Steele has been pushed onto the SFMLab. Download here I am also taking a quick diversion from the girls to port the Borderlands 1 crew (as they appear in Borderlands 2, for higher-quality models). I won't lie that this is to make progress toward a comic idea I have. I have no intentions to outfit the men with nude bodies, simply because the resources aren't available to my satisfaction. However, just because they don't have breasts or pussies doesn't mean they don't get love. Just like the girls, I intend to give the characters the best faceposing I can manage, as well as jigglebones and bodygroups as appropriate. I will push Mordecai, Brick, and Roland onto the SFM as I complete them. I still need to jigglebone a few things for Mordecai, though I will probably do a quick pass and get the other two characters at least into Source.

Recording a video of the porting process for Tannis, from extracting from the game to getting her nude. In less than an hour, I got her to this point: She has a few issues I need to resolve, though. Namely, her fingers are partially rigged to one another, and her lip-lower flexes have some rogue verts I need to fix.
