So I've been using the same old maps the whole time I've been using SFM and I want to change scenery. There's a problem with that and it's errors, errors everywhere! I downloaded the cinematic maps which Aardvark posted and some other maps too and I was like: Yeah! Let's pose some new stuff 'n' shiz! But when I tried it, the maps and SFM said fuck you, you ain't gonna do shit! What I was saying is that I can't get maps to work. Do I have to do some super complex shit or am I just dumb again? It was easy to make maps work in gmod...

That means that you didn't install the required content and should probably learn to read the requirements that LordAardvark wrote next to the download. Some maps require content from other Source Engine games or Mods like Portal, Counter Strike or NeoTokyo.
I do have all of the source games (not DoD:s) and BMS (which was one of the requirements). I tried to copy the maps, materials and models of the games and put them into the usermod/maps folder and I made separate folders for them and I made sure to include the folders to gameinfo.txt... Have I missed something important?

Did you extract from the game .VPKs themselves?
