XStoryPlayer Discussion

Pickled Cow

First off, I'd like to apologize for making a second thread on this subject, but the first thread I made ended up in a locked archive when the forum was restructured. Original thread.
Have any of you heard of XStoryPlayer? It's a 3D adult game made by X Moon Productions that has been out for about a year now. Unlike most adult 3D games which use a limited set of motion captures, XStoryPlayer uses an actual physics engine which governs both in-game objects and characters. Allowing the Player to make his own fun instead of the game deciding in advanced what's fun for him. Here is a video demo of the next version. In the next version or at least the next version after that, the game is going to allow mods and importing of custom content, and X Moon Productions has just opened up a new modding section in their forums in anticipation. In addition to 3 subsections just for the programing aspects of XStoryPlayer, there are 2 others, Custom 3D models and Converted 3D Models. The subsection in modding I want to bring to your attention is obviously the Converted 3D Models. While modding for XStoryPlayer isn't off the ground, it's obvious the first batch of XSP mods, (and most likely, the most demanded) will most likely be made of out of existing models made for Gmod and SFM and... whatever Xnalara is... I'm most likely getting flamed for that one... I should also point out that the forums have section outside of modding simply titled "3D models". Again this section is outside of modding, and it is for showcasing original 3D models that you have made yourself and wish to license to X Moon Productions for official use in the XStoryPlayer game. Which has already gotten some submissions from out community... They've mostly been bondage rigs so far but still! So if you're interested in XStoryPlayer and would like to know more, You can look at the following websites. The Official X Moon Productions Web Site where you can buy or download the demo of the game. The Official XStoryPlayer forums where you can meet our currently small and humble community of users, most which I'm sure are actually human. XStoryPlayer on OFFbeatr, the game's successful crowd-sourcing project page, which has more consolidated information than I can offer offer in a single forum post. So I think that's about all I can say about XStoryPlayer for now, and I sincerely hope that get's embraced by the DigitalEro community. ;)
Currently, the next version of the game is slated for released near the end of Q3, at the latest. And no real information about how to port to Gmod or SFM models to an XSP compatible format have been made available. But that being said, these are the following models I hope to receive conversions. Felicia Cammy Juri Han Mila Jessica Rabbit These are only first five models I can think of off the top of my head. What models do you guys think should be on the list? And which ones do you think should be at the top of the list?

This looks pretty cool, I would not mind bringing my characters over to this game when there is an SDK/Tutorial.

Do you think you could join the XStoryPlayer forums and a start a dialog on the subject? I'm sure XPadmin would appreciate input from someone with experience using (and creating?) these kinds of models.

Just did! I'd love to help the dev find an efficient way to bring more models into Xstory.

Could people chime in and discuss what software you use to make and models? Whenever making maps and models for XSP is discussed, Maya Autodesk the usually brought up by the admin. I made a thread about on XSP forums here.
