I heard on facepunch that you can use flexes to do facial expressions, then ditch the facebones on your ragdolls so you don't have to have so many bones on your models. Is what I've heard correct? How would you go about this process???

Is there a tutorial on using the face bones to pose the the model? I want to use the existing bones on the model to do my shape key animations.

Yes, please! I'm in the same boat here. Have a model with face bones that I want to use to make flexes.

3ds Max: Select your model + bones, duplicate them, move the bones on the duplicated model. Then add the duplicated model to your morpher. Blender: Select your model + armature, duplicate them, move the bones on the duplicated model to your desired flex position and apply the armature modifier on the duplicate. Next, join the duplicated model as a shape key on the original model.
