Yo what's up guys. I started making animations for Dota because the community lacked rule34 gifs. Most of the gifs I do are requests, just trying to make stuff for other people really. I'm not the best, but I do try to do every request I get so I think that makes up for the lack of quality. Check me out, and send me a request if you're into Dota animations. Not a bad start. I've not done much animation stuff myself, but I can give some general help towards aesthetics. You frame your shots pretty well, but the lighting is rather boring. Look up a three-point lighting tutorial, that will give you a really good, simple foundation for lighting. Play with a bit of color. Secondly, pick another map. Generic SFM box oozes low quality like starter in GMOD using GM_Construct. Try playing around with the dota maps (if you need a link I can try digging one up). Or, more simply, forget the background entirely. Put the characters and lights in the middle of the box so that no light touches the walls. The end result is that you get a perfectly black background. Plain black looks surprisingly nice, and much better than an awkward box background. Sorry I'm pretty useless at giving feedback towards animation work itself, but you seem to be on the right track there.

Yeah you got a point with the lighting/maps. It's just a habit of being lazy and wanting to go to the animation part ASAP. I'll work on it though, thanks!

You still have a long way to go. Also there was dota sfm stuff before, including myself and other people doing it months ago, so its not properly something new. I dont know if you just started because why not, but if you want to go anywhere I advice you to stop doing every request you get . Also learn to love the characters, not just doing because "hey there must be porn of this" which seems to be your case. Its subjective but thats how I work.

Thanks, but I've been making these as long as you have. It's one of the reasons why I started, I didn't want to ask for requests so I just started doing it myself. The reason I do requests is because I don't know what to do, so it's kind of a win-win, they get what they want, I don't have to think about what to do and can focus on animation.

hmm I dont remember you, sorry. Ive being doing this stuff since past November more or less. Well if you want to do all requests its fine, sometimes I do them, but all? No, I have way too many, however if its a good idea (not the generic "make x being fucked"), I go with it, but most of the stuff I do comes out of my head. Do you have a favourite hero, out of curiosity? (im guessing maybe luna)

I was thinking about remaking my old GirlxGirl animations that people liked. Yeah Luna and TA, but TA is hard because you know, hard to face swap her. I know your favorite, Drow ;P. That latest Drow BJ animation was some good shit dude.

Ah yes, Drow was the sole reason I personally started with source filmmaker because when I learned I could get to play around with her model, oh god. Your last animation is also an improvement.

Thanks. Apparently i'm horrible at lighting, does anyone have an example of good lighting in sfm?

If you haven't already, just search for some SFM lighting tutorials on youtube. There are plenty of good ones to look through.

Solid improvement over your older stuff. The camera movement is a bit stiff, but the character animation looks pretty good.
