Hey, im wondering how I can make high quality screenshots in gmod, such as the ones Rastifan or, like, half the people on this site. I'm really interested on how to do the effects, I already know how to increase the general quality of the picture taken, but I want help in adding effects, such as making things glow, lighting, and such. Any help would be appreciated :)

Those pics from rasti, vaako, tim and almost everyone in here, uses programs for modifying photos like Gimp or Photoshop, both are really good once you get the touch to things. Even with those programs you can do fluids (water, all that stuff) and make better detail of the things around the photo. Which is better? that comes to the likes of everyone, i´ll be starting using Gimp, since aside Paint.NET (yes it´s true xD) helped me with some photos, i want it to look at a better quality. Search for tutorials and as so you keep practicing, you will learn how to use it.

I actually use GIMP to a very basic level for some editing for pics (not pics related to this site though) I guess to be more specific I'm looking for a tutorial on how to best make effects such as glow and make pictures look extremely good like rastifan's or something.

I learned Gimp edit from this guy http://www.youtube.com/user/techtonicc/ ... &flow=grid Very useful tutorials and easy to grasp.

Actually, you can make really good pictures using only gmod, but it will take some time to learn. Maybe I'm not a real pro at it, but here are some pictrures straight from game. Without any photoshop or other editing (some of them aren't forum related so I'll just give links) http://i.imgur.com/0EU6q.jpg http://i.imgur.com/0EU6q.jpg I use lamps, lights, color mod, super DoF and sometimes bloom and motion blur. There are also tools like glow and smoke (mostly useless but can fit in some pictures). As for other things (lighting and textures) - always keep your graphic settings on maximum. About a year ago I had to use PS to edit pictures. To make color correction, smooth edges on models and even sometimes to make lighting on models. There are lots of tutorials on different sites. So it's just a matter of practice. Hope you understand what I said.
